Operating System
IMail Server will run on Windows based server operating systems including: - Windows NT4
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Windows 2003
For best performance it is recommended that the modern Server versions of the operating systems be employed.
Hardware Environment
IMail Server will run properly on the minimum system recommended by the host operating system. IMail Servers performance and capacity will increase based on the host systems processor speed, RAM and disk space. As with all dedicated server applications, it is recommended that you install IMail Server by itself on the fastest and largest server that your budget will allow.
Other Requirements- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
- Network interface card configured to use TCP/IP
- A full-time or dialup connection to the Internet (not needed for intranet mail)
- Modem (optional, but needed for mail to pager, mail to fax, and service notifications)

- The IMail Anti-Virus server and LiveUpdate require Internet Explorer 4.71.1712.6 or later be installed

- 1 or more processors (depending on the mail traffic rates)
