Features- Allows the transferring of files from a server to the local machine (download), from the local machine to the server (upload) and from one server to another directly (site to site). Transfer could be invoked by specifying names or items in a folder
- Able to rename, create, delete and change directories, and rename and delete files on remote servers and locally
- Facilitates searching for files in local and remote directories
- Provide logs of commands issued and responses obtained from servers, as well as, errors encountered
- Provide progress information during transfer operations
- Easily deployed on a set of machines
- Facilitates the handling of a local or remote directory with its content and properties (name, type, size, modified date, and permission)
- Allow the changing of file and directory properties, name, modified date and permissions
- Issue any arbitrary command the user wishes, as well as, receiving responses from the server directly
- InstallShield is used to install the SDK in Program Files\Ipswitch WS_FTP Pro SDK and the install will register the WsftpSDK.dll
- Supports all aspects of the FTP protocol
- Very simple object oriented design exposed through COM
- Supports internal firewall types found in WS_FTP Pro (including SOCKS4 and SOCKS5)
- Supports automatic host type detection or allows selecting from over 65 supported host types
- MSDN style User's Guide with clearly defined syntax rules covering interfaces, methods, properties, parameters, classes and examples.
- Options to enable diagnostic and debug logging
- Support for passive and normal file transfers when using FTP
- Support for easy processing of local and remote folder listings
Secure Version Only- Supports these additional protocols:
- SFTP over SSH (v3 and v4)
- FTP over Explicit SSL (AUTH SSL)
- FTP over Implicit SSL (ftps)
- Allows configuration of SSL options, client certificates, trusted authorities database, and more
